who makes stick burners in the southeast?
I was thinking about buying an offset stickburner sometime soon but saw that most are made in the midwest or Texas area. Anyone familiar with companies ( or highly qualified people) that make them closer to the South Carolina area? I don't want anything too big, just good size for backyard and MAYBE a contest once a year. Thanks and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
GO GAMECOCKS!!!!!!

Certainly Not Lang (pigroast.com) nor Lonnie at Bubba Grills (bubbagrills.net)... Not them. :-)
They both make fairly high quality reverse flow offset stickburners. Probably the best two reverse flow makers in the nation. Lang in south Georgia, Lonnie is in central Georgia.

DW's Kountry Kookers is located in Perry, GA. I know a restaurant owner in FL that uses two DW's kookers in his BBQ restaurant and they are very good cookers.

Man there are some high quality, beautiful works of art out there in the smoker world. I figure in about a year I should be able to save up enough to get one of these beauties.

And then there is this just down in North Charleston. They don't make offsets but these are nice looking. Might be worth a look if you are ever down that way.
http://gorillafabrication.com/ I might have to take a look at them myself when I'm back there for Christmas. Paul |
