The Bartow Bluegrass & Barbeque Festival in Bartow FL, November 14 and 15, an FBA event.

It was a great success in all ways. The live music was good, the vendors did well, the cookteams had good sites and were given a great dinner and breakfast.

The judges and Reps did a great job too.

The organizer, Dana Pasquis, should be applauded for putting it all together, especially being this was the first time for this event.

Next years is already scheduled and promises to be bigger and better with larger payouts.

Congrats guys for a good Showing. You know the usual Rub.... Getting to be a habit with you. Keep up the good work.

I wish I could have gotten over there but I'm too tied up with house buying and all the "fun stuff" (at least that's what the wife says) that goes with it. I was tied up all this past weekend and next ain't lookin too good either.

This WAS an excellent contest on so many different levels. Dana and her crew of volunteers did an outstanding job, and I fully expect her to kick it up a notch for next year. Don't miss it!

Congrats to all....

I was wanting to get down for this one, but just couldn't work it out. My BIL wanted me to come down so bad.... he was in charge of the trophies and was all worried that nobody would like them... I assured him that they would be fine... he even had to take pics of them and send them to me when they arrived... so I got a preview of the GC trophy as well as some of the others... Ain't I special.....

I have it on my schedule for next year... Trying to get all of mine worked out, what a full fall schedule....

Looks like a possible 7 comps in an 8 wk span.... with the Bartow event finishing up the year.

Looking forward to competing in FL at least once next year.
