wow, I kept trying to just crack an egg onto the grate...never worked well...the foil pan might help, huh? :)
Great idea, I've been scrambling eggs and cooking them in a half-pan or frying them in a cast iron skillet, but this is a great alternative.

I've been doing that, but I've been putting some Canadian bacon under the egg for the duration of the cook. Delicious!
