We had a great time this weekend surrounded by some great neighbors. Nice to see old friends like Open Bar and Babylon Grillbilies and to meet new teams like Smokin Hoggz, Dr Pearl and the 5th Artery.

Had a great time and congrats to those who took home the Hardware. Like most events you go in wanting to win and by Sunday evening you are grateful you spent a weekend with old friends and made some new ones.

Great time! Congrats to all that walked. It was nice making new friends in Three Dogs BBQ and Beer Me BBQ. Rolf. Is. The. Man. It was different traveling across the state for a comp. Hopefully we'll see everyone back next year!
 
Congrats to Bacon Brothers BBQ on their GC and Good Smoke BBQ on their RGC in the NEBS contest Saturday -- and to Ribs Within on their GC and Can’t Stop Grilling on their RGC in the KCBS contest Sunday -- and to everyone who got calls this weekend.

We had hoped to end our season with a bang, and while the judges hated our ribs and especially our pork (Anyone want to give us a one-on-one lesson? It appears we need it!) – the awesome time we had with friends new and old made up for it. I am sad that the margarita cooler and the fire pit have been put away for the season – but they will be back!

Thanks to Stephanie and Rolf and everyone else involved for all of their hard work – great event again! :clap:

Thanks to Stephanie, Rolf, and the Lovely's for letting me enter @ the cooks meeting. And also my wife who I called from said meeting and told her to get some chicken and round up my rubs and sauce. Was set up and inspected by 7:45.

Had not cooked my chicken in 2 years and got a reasonable 12th was as good as winning the category. (I was sure being in Phil's spot I was gonna place 13th, must been his mojo that gave me that extra .0002)

Pleasure to meet some new teams, and Gail if you didn't get my photo let me know.
 
Another great time was had at ribfest! Thank you to Stephanie, Rolf, the Lovely's and everyone else at this event.

Thanks all for the great times! Special shout out to our "Handsome" neighbors and KC for some excellent birthday cake.

It was a fun first year competing, especially meeting so many great people. Also learned I have lot of (delicious) work to attend to before heading back out next summer to get those scores up.
