Lake Oconee BBQ and Blues

Same response when I asked about Kennesaw. Do we not have Brethren in GA who compete?

We can't make it because we have sons playing high school football so our Friday nights start getting booked in 3 weeks.

We may come out on Sat. just to check it out.

Rightstuff, welcome! We'll be getting in pretty early ourselves. Glad to see there
are 3 or 4 GA brethren! ;-)

Congrats on GC and 1st in brisky. Got any pics?

Thanks, we were very excited. This was our first KCBS GC. Finally got that Big Green Egg I've been eyeing every comp too!!

After we got there wife said she forgot the camera!! I took 2 pics with the cell phone but they are crap pics!!!

I thought it was a great venue and they did a good job with the comp. Each team got an individual campsite/RV site with grill, picnic table and fire pits. I really enjoyed being at the lake and not being crammed together like other comps.

Wasn't it a really nice cookoff?!! The organizer, especially for a first time cookoff,
did a GREAT job. The campsites were wonderful. Congrats Rightstuff.

Like they say...no pics, didn't happen!

I'll be right down to get that big fat check and Egg from ya! :-D

I know !!! Trust me...it killed me not to have any pics. Just bought the wife a Nikon D-90 for her b-day...you think she would've brought it. Can't complain though. She saved my rear-end on the brisket. Without thinking I cut six perfect slices "with the grain" and put them in the box. She looks at me and says "I think you cut them wrong"! The lightbulb came on and I mumbled a few choice words as I recut the brisket! Good thing she caught it!!!
