I don't use the cover that came with the WSM. The Weber 7452 premium kettle cover from Amazon for $17.99 works much better for me. It slips over without all the struggle.

why have little straps at the opening to get hung on everything as you take it off or put it on and then nothing to strap it to at the bottom

its not that big of a problem its just aggravating mine fits really snug.putting the thing on is more fun than anything
