Default Memphis BBQ

We took a trip up to Illinois this last November and stopped in West Memphis on the way there and back. Went to Rendezvous in downtown Memphis and have to recommend it for the atmosphere alone. The que was pretty good and quite different. Had much better fare at a place called Road Side BBQ in Proctor, AR about 20 miles west. It is a little whole in the wall place but with great que. I would recommend stopping in if you are in I-40 around Memphis it is at the I-147 exit on the access road. I told them about the Brethren and that I would be posting so stop in if you are in the area.

My favorite bbq joint there is the bbq shop. Great ribs and really good bbq spaghetti.
