Talking chipotles

i had a few red jalapenos in the garden and thought i'd smoke em with hickory and jack daniels oak barrel chips, then toss em on the food dehydrator and eventually make chipotle powder. i think i'll food saver and freeze a few whole. first time trying this.........

if you smoke and dry them, do you have to freeze them?
I buy them smoked and dried but have never seen them frozen

somewheres around 250... i'm considering letting them go all night in the egg, cause there's way to many for the dehydrator. i reckon i could use the oven
