My wife and I have always talked about doing a little to give back and after a couple weeks of going back and fourth with a few charities, today we get to feed 40-50 less fortunate people as they check in to a warm bed tonight. Hopefully the cook goes well......

Here's the 6am start pic.

Thanks! I just noticed in the picture I shot the thermometer probe right in the money muscle, hope I pay more attention at the next comp.....

Any excuse to dial in that new build you just finished for the up and coming season.... I'm just playing with you Corey, you know you're good people. That's what BBQ is all about. Keep your eye out for the IBBQA. They do events like this throughout the year. Good Luck Buddy.

Ilbbqa? Why do I not know of this?

Thanks Dan! It is an unofficial practice run, first 6 butt run, want to see temp variation between shelves.

It was actually harder than I thought to donate food. People would rather have ya donate processed packaged food than a meal made with love.

A lot of that is brought on by the lawyers. Most places want you to do it in their kitchen their equipement etc. When we were practice fishing for salmon tourneys I had no problem with the local assisted living homes wanting the fish we caught as long as they were raw.

Its a good thing you and your wife are doing and proud to be a friend !

Thanks coz!

It's a bunch of crap that they would rather have a box of Mac an cheese then good food. Soup kitchen wouldn't touch me, but the homeless shelter said "doors open at 7pm, we only offer snacks most nights but we would take what ever ya have".

This is something I have often thought about doing, Kave who does one start out contacting to be able to provide such a service?
