Default Asking for your prayers to the HOG gods

So for almost 3 years I've been shaking my head tsking at the lack of any whole hog North Carolina BBQ in New York City. We had folks shoe-horn some pigs into their box smokers but nobody giving that same flavor you find in Ayden, Goldsboro, or some hole dug in some NC dude's backyard.

For the past 2 years I've been saying I'm gonna bring that hardwood fired whole hog goodness up here. Now I got enough equipment to cook three 200lb pigs simultaneously and STILL have room to cater a church picnic.

So I jumping in all the way. I announced a series of events in New York called the "Hog Days of Summer". Got several beer guys and some bluegrass musicians. Now all that's left is to see if people in the Big Apple love hog as much as me.

By the end of summer I will have succeeded my mission or....

Will flop on my face

Hoping for the former and not the later. Thus I beseech you brethren to send some prayers to the all powerful Hog gods for me

If you see me over at the Veggie-brethren forum by October, you will know why.

Yeah, if you screw up a hog on that huge cooker of yours, I think it will be time for a new penalty box around here.

Of course, any new venture gets a good luck sir from me

Seeing the pictures from your past events, I am sure you will have success bringing Carolina whole hog to NYC. The main defining thing with food related business, if the food is great people will come.
