Default Foie Gras Pan Fried Ribeye

Inspiration from chimney throwdown, where chimneys are overcookin' steaks cause of super high heat. Thought the super high heat would work well on some Foie Gras.

Cast Iron skillet on top of chimney. Foie Gras. Dry Aged, Grass Fed Ribeye steak. Balsamic Reduction.

Seared Foie Gras in pan first, then pan fried the ribeye in the remaining melted Foie and then poured the reduction on top.

Plated with some braised cabbage to make the meal healthy. 'Twas on sale!

And to drink:

Foie... What? Oh, California. Ok...

<kidding> Steaks looks really good. Never tried Foie Gras, but have a lot of Cali friends that love it. One of these days...

Things are so much better when they are forbidden!

Had to buy it when I was in Texas, then bring it back with me since it is illegal to buy/sell Foie Gras in California.

The steak may have been on sale, but I bet the foie gras wasn't! That sounds amazing. You should try sauteing some tatters in the pan after you do the foie gras.

Tab Benoit- Must listen to this artist. A cross between southern blues,Stevie Ray, and Louisiana cajun. Great listening while having a brew and tending the stick burner.

I absolutely hate any form of liver....EXCEPT foie gras. The buttery texture and richness are undescribeable.
