Bought a pre-marinated package labeled “street tacos” from the local meat market. It’s sliced up pieces of boneless short ribs in a liquid marinade. Any ideas on best hardware and method to use? All I got from the guy at the meat market was “just cook it in a skillet”.

On a griddle or a CI pan. Warmed flour of corn tortillas in the the grease drippings and some fresh salsa, cilantro onions, squirt of lime or lemon.

I agree with Candice. Usually Flap, flank or skirt.

I've had good results in a CI skillet (as mentioned by Sako).

I look forward to reading how your adventure goes!

I’ll give CI a shot. I’m pretty sure it’s short ribs, as this was why I asked him his suggestion for cooking it because I had the same concerns as y’all about tenderness. Oh well...I only got a pound and it was only $6 or $7 bucks so no big loss if things don’t turn out well. I’ll try to report back after the experiment.

I'll bet the fat content in those works out nicely. I'd start off around med-low to medium... and ramp it up towards the end to get a little crispy/char... that's just me.
