Default Catering Request: Sacramento Area

Hi Brothers and Sisters,

My son is getting married on July 21st at a venue called Red Maple Ranch, which is one of those self-service type venues. His fiance’s Cousin is a chef and has offered to do the dinner. He wants to do tri-tip and chicken for 250 guests. We are in need of a Santa Maria style grill trailer that is large enough to handle the cook. Does anyone in the Sacramento area know where we can rent one for the weekend?

Thanks in advance!

I can be reached at 530-990-9344 0r [email protected].

The Santa Maria BBQ trailer is big enough to cook all of the tri-tip and chicken at the same time. I use oak wood for fuel. I have had 80 tri-tips at once on this pit. The pit rents for 100 dollars and delivery and pick up to Yuba City would be 50 dollars.

I am "Leonard Sanders" on Facebook and my profile has pictures of this pit

Leonard Sanders, of Oroville, couple of them on there. Didn't see his SM grill there, just a line of dutch ovens, and one of a Navy ship. Maybe only his "friends" can see other photos?

Quite a few of the Brethren saw Leonard's pit in action in 2014 when he brought it to a Brethren holiday cook for Army Reserve troops and their families at Camp Parks.

Here's a few pics from that cook:

^^^Those look like the 40# bags of Lazzari. Not sure where to get them now, but for a while they were available at Smart & Final for around $16. Haven't seem 'em there in a while - I figured it'd be too good to last - should have bought more!

Is that a landarc sighting in the pic of that awesome pit? I miss that farker. Hope he's OK.

Yup that is him (landarc). He posts on Farkbook, so I know he is alright.

I was at this cook as well. Leonard is a great guy.

That's what so great about this place! Makes a post for some help, within 4.5 hours someone responds that looks like has exactly what he needs to get the job done. Just awesome.
