This was cooked on the gasser but I liked it. Had a lot of flavor.

I cubed some lamb, drizzled with olive oil then sprinkled with smoked salt and cracked black pepper.. added a little bit of rosemary.

Cubed some veggies... tatoes, onions, turnips, parsnips, carrots...

drizzled them with oil, seasoned and let them grill. Tossed to cook evenly.

while the veggies grilled I started my stock pot. sautéed more onions, garlic and seasonings...thyme, rosemary and parsley.

I saved the lamb for last. Wanted them to be tender and pink in the center so I gave them a short grill.

added the grilled lamb to the pot, gave it a quick stir and it was ready to serve.

It was kinda tasty. Next time I will give it a try on a charcoal or woodburner to see how much difference there is.

Thanks for looking!

Love that! Looks absolutely delicious Jeanie!

I don't eat enough lamb. Whenever I eat it I enjoy it as much as I enjoy anything else, but for some reason it doesn't always occur to me to cook it. I got a big ole hunk in the freezer that'll be getting cooked in the next week or 2 though.

^ same here, Greg. That looks awesome, Jeanie. I could go for a bowl of that right now.

Thanks ssv, Greg and Gary!
Greg I don't use lamb very often either.... but I love it. I'm looking forward to seeing how you cook your hunk.

Gary, I'd share. :thumb:

Another great looking cook, Jeanie. I love lamb stew, don't make it often enough. Some smoke flavor might really add to the overall flavor of the stew.

Way to go, Jeanie! BTW, there is an "On a Stick" TD going on currently!

Looks great, Jeanie! That'd be fantastic up here on a cold day... And they're all cold days

Yummmm!

I can't get anything but imported lamb around here even though Iowa raises quite a bit of it.

Nice cook Jeanie!

Looks good Jeanie and i think you're right a wood or charcoal fire would give it a different taste profile.

Nice work and timing Jeanie.

We made lamb stew/soup a couple of days ago and it was wonderful!!
Had some incredibly tough lamb chops that we braised for "about ever" and it worked 8)

Not cooked to the same level as the BBQ Goddess, but lamb is a pleasant change up from the normal beef or pork versions.

Well done.

TIM

Last time I made it, I used left over smoked lamb and I could taste it.
