Who knew? I can't tell you how many times I've driven by this exit.

On the way back from my son's hockey tournament in Decatur, AL we tried to stop at Lawler's BBQ in Athens, AL only to find them closed on Sundays. Bummed, we got back on the road to Murfreesboro thinking our prospects for BBQ were dim. Boy were we wrong. We soon saw a billboard advertising POPS Barbecue at the Tennessee Truck Stop at exit 22 on I-65. My wife and I got the PP platter which was a VERY generous portion with 2 sides and bread for $6.99. I must say that this was the best pulled pork that I have had in many, many years which includes not only my own that I'm very partial to but that of the famous Martins BBQ in Nolensville, TN which is very good also . Their Sweet Heat sauce was fantastic as well. We didn't get a chance to sample the ribs, but with PP this good I can't imagine the ribs aren't good as well. If you are passing through the area I highly recommend a stop for some awesome food.
