I can get a 22.5 kettle for cheap on CL. I have an out of round WSM cylinder. Do you all think it would be worth it to try to convert it into an upside down WSM?

I have an extra door too so I don't need to do too much to it.

My thought would be to sell it as I already have a WSM.

No-

The kettle lid will not fit the center section because the WSM lid sets into the center and the kettle lid fits over the bowl.

Consider using that OOR WSM center section as a dedicated WSM rotisserie, like I did to mine before getting a Cajun Bandit reversible rotis ring.

Here is a side x side comparison that shows both WSM and 22" kettle conversion.

mod hack and proud of it!

Swamprb,

My thought was to turn the cylinder upside down. It then fits into the kettle and the kettle lid then fits on top. Yes?

I would have to drill to move the brackets but could probably fill the holes. Just need grates and a water pan.

It seems to fit that way on my performer, I just need to tweek the cylinder so it is more round. The door would be higher but still might work.

Your thoughts and knowledge are appreciated.
