Default Decided to make some spares happy, happy, happy! Pron

With the weather being 70 in KS in Jan I decided to fire the UDS yesterday. I've never smoked with pecan so I picked some up yesterday and gave it go, and the results were great. It was a pretty basic set of ribs rubbed down with mustard, garlic salt, onion powder, lawry's, and brown sugar. Ran the drum at 250 put them on at 2:30pm and they were done by 5:30pm. I didn't foil or spritz, just closed the lid and never peeked until five.

I do have a question for you guys. ave you ever heard of tightening doen your pit thermo to tight that it doesn't work? I had an issue with mine yesterday not reading properly, so I put in a backup and brought it inside to test in boiling water....worked fine. Took it back out put it back into the drum not threading it all the way and voila, back working! Is this common? Or am I just weird?
