Big ugly drum smoker?
So.. I'm new too the smoking world and I'm looking at gettin a nice smoker, i have been looking at the Big ugly drum smokers wich are made close to where I live. So I'm wondering if any of you have used one of these and what you thought about it? Also would I need to purchase a temp controller or do they come with one? I hope this isn't a dumb question..I'm just looking for some feedback before I spend hundreds of dollars...THANKS in advance.

I have an UDS, and love it. I built it following the threads found here on BB. I don't think you can go wrong, great bang for the buck.

Yea you just can't beat the quality and setup of the BP. The only improvement i made to it was putting expanded steel in the bottom of the basket so small pieces fall through and high heat silicone when i installed the vents.
Lots of ways to cook with it and easy to sear or grill with.
