Red face My First Fatty.

I thought it was time to see was this was all about.
I had no idea of what I had been missing!
It looks dryer than it actually was and the smoke was outstanding.

Talking Funny Ball Story...

Not really that funny at all, embarrassing is the correct adjective
after a week of being heckled and laughed at.

Last Friday I prepared thirty Penetrated Moinks for some friends that were here. Got them on the UDS and life was good.

Remember what you read in the UDS Bible about using 2" screws for the top rack? I didn't, I used 1.5".
Anyway to make a long story short, close to the end of the cook I gave the can a shake and heard my life falling into the ashes... talk about pissed!
Yep, the freakin' rack slipped off the screws and my balls ended up in the bottom of the drum! It was a sight to behold and provided great laughter for my guests.

Picture this, pitch black outside and I have my head stuck into a smoky hot drum trying to find my balls!
Good thing that I had cleaned it out before the burn. They were fine.
I somehow managed to save all but one.

Supports replaced the next day.

No after photos, I wasn't in the mood.

The moral of this story is to always properly support your balls.

Nice looking fatty for sure. Maybe you need a safety grate between the fire and the cooking grate. I have seen other posts about folks losing their balls in the drum. Glad you salvaged the balls.
