I agree. What do you have in those cups, besides green onion? They look killer!

I fired up the Weber and threw on a salt-encrusted baker:
Hi!

Stolichnaya is my vodka of choice, too, though never had that jalapeno one. I love the salt-encrusted potato, I've been wanting to try that. Since the vodka's made from potatoes and the bacon strip is meat you certainly have tied it in. Nice play.

Really nice delicious looking entry.

Also, just wanted to note, official entry into the TD needs that stated in the very top title line as far as I understand. You can quote your own post and put that info up top in the title so Biggie doesn't have to read into your post to find it.

Toast, that's some fine looking food and great close-up photography. I love the second last close-up of the steak, that's an amazing shot. Last year I discovered flat iron steak and found out I love them. Good idea with the tater cups -- they look packed with flavour, I'm ready to eat one.

Hey, are we picking on CD's volvu again?

Those had green onion. We've done them before with bell pepper too.

Kathy's Smokin' also pointed out that vodka is made from potatoes. So technically, I could have just entered my bloody mary in the meat & potatoes TD!
Unfortunately, after a quick google search, I discovered Stoli is made from wheat, not poatoes. So looks like I didn't grill the steak for nothing afterall.

I fired up the Weber and threw on a salt-encrusted baker:

When the potato was done, I cranked up the weber:

I coated a ribeye with SM Peppered Cow:

Threw it on indirect for a few minutes:

Then direct for the sear:

Loaded up the potato with butter, freshly grated extra sharp cheddar cheese, fresh bacon bits, and sour cream. In keeping with the theme, I even served it with a potoato roll!

Fork shot for the money:

Thanks for looking.

Default This is my oficial entry

I figured most people would be doing a main course and a potato side. I thought I'd go a different route. I was planning on doing some ABT's today while smoking a chicken. I had a couple of baked potatoes from yesterdays cook left over. I figured I'd stuff the japs with them. Picked a dozen japs from the garden this morn. Some are kinda small, but I've been picking a lot recently. I got all the ingredients together. Potatoes, sour cream, cheddar, garlic, butter, and Simply Marvelous Season All. Mixed it all up and stuffed the japs. Wrapped in bacon and into the smoker. They came out very good. Even Mrs. Campdude ( who doesn't eat to many japs anymore) wanted more. Plated with a nice chocolate porter. Nice snack while doing a cook. Even though the fork crutch shot is a little blurry, use that for the entry shot. EDIT! Use the next to the last shot, much better pic. Thanks for your thoughts CD.

Good idea on those potato ABTs.

But, I'd use the shot above the fork shot as your entry pr0n. The fork shot is WAY too blurry.

I was thinking that too, except it didn't show the potato.

Why, are you thinking about Egg Beaters to go along with the instant mashed potatoes?

Welp, there goes my idea. Back to the drawing board.

Neither does the fork shot -- well, as far as I can tell. All I see is a blob. The rules don't say the potatoes have to show in the entry shot. Remember, the entry shot is only supposed to get people interested in looking at your whole entry post. Go with the best looking photo.

Just my two cents. Anyone else want to chime in?
