Hi all,

Does anyone have a good rub mix incorporating Porcini mushrooms? I have some in the oven drying and would like to put on a couple bone in rib eyes.

Maybe some sea salt (or Himalayan), garlic powder, onion powder???

Thanks for all your help

On my own, it turned out well

Have some patience. This is a great site if you like BBQ. I use porcini infused olive oil that is great on a steak after it is cooked.
Here is as site that I get it from. It is on a limited availability and because I live 20 minutes from there I ask everytime I am in the area. I am not affiliated with this company, just enjoy their products. Call and ask about the porcini if you really want it. IMHO it is great.

This may work for your next attempt.

Veal, Chops, Porcini, Grilled, Rubbed, Beefer
INGREDIENTS:
2 Veal Chops
EVOO
2 Tbs. Porcini Mushrooms, Dried
2 Tbs. Turbindo Sugar
1 Tsp. Sea Salt
1 Tsp. Mustard Powder, Dried
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
Procedure:
1. Rub the above into veal chops, marinate in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Bring ribs back to room temperature. Trex as per normal.
2. I've never had better veal chops, but then again I've never paid $32 for a couple of milk fed veal chops!!

Glad to see it turned out well! Don't have any experience with mushrooms rubs but would love to know the recipe you decide on.
