Buy it, if you don't like it, I'm the closest one so far I will buy from you. I already have spot picked out for it.

You're in the wrong place brotha! I suppose Dave Ramsey has his own forum, but I wouldn't ask them about smokers or boats...there are some things people just don't get. ;)

Umm ok. I wouldn't buy it. Pellets are expensive, the smoke taste is weak, and the metal is flimsy. Oh, and I am a Dave Ramsey fan - if you can't pay cash for it don't buy it.

Now do you feel better?

Command Decision making 101.
Is it the right thing to do-
For the right reason-
In the right way-
At the right time.

Most decisions require you to answer yes to all four. Another backyard piece of Q-Ing equipment only requires one yes. Hope this helps.

Okay, as I have mentioned before, I am the opposite of a pack rat. If I don't use it, I don't want it.

Now, I also am intrigued by pellet poopers, and Trager is a good one, I understand.

So, if I could get a like-new one for 250 bucks, and had the cash to do it, I might just get one. It might end up replacing another cooker, which I would sell, or might not, in which case, I would sell it.

Since it is a friend, just be up-front honest -- if you don't use it after a year, you are going to sell it. If you sell it for a profit, share the profit with him.

When in doubt, flip a coin and call. If what you call does not come up, flip again. I think I have 14 or 15 grills-smokers and would love to add a few more...remember he who dies with the most smokers ....wins!!!!!!!!!!
