Larry, the LAST certification thread? Say it ain't so.

Thanks for all you do to bring your creation to the taste buds of the world - and for creating this fun and entertaining certification system. I have been told my whole life that I am certifiable, now, thanks to you, I have proof. :)

Did you use a rub? What sauce? They look tasty.
That bacon was a little different. It was supposed to be some special gormet bacon that was given to me by some friends in appreciation for cooking for them once. It is very good but a little hard to work with. It tears easily. I did sprinkle with a rub after I put them on the grill. The sauce was my standard rib sauce that I make, kind of sweet. Thanks for the comments.

Actually it had slipped my mind. I'm perfectly happy just making and eating MOINK, certificate or no.

Default Well, since the Super Bowl was in North Texas....

and I didn't really have a horse in that race especially, I did make some brisket chili, pulled-pork enchiladas AND some more MOINKS!
(They were a big hit and awesome as usual.)
I was rooting for the Packers however despite the Ice Bowl, Steelers have given me too many fits over the years to this old Cowboy fan.

I was trying to do food or beverage that would represent each team and where the game was held. In my research I found out that Wisconsin produces the most cranberries. So, I did Wisconsin MOINKs. First dusted with Mister Bob's spice rub. Finished with my homemade cranberry bbq sauce. Eveybody went crazy for them.

Nice job J! Coincidentally, I used the same rub on mine yesterday! Here's how they turned out.

I believe that they are REQUIRED, unless they are not available where you are.

This would not be correct. Search the forum for the NOSKOS rule...

OK. Does this mean I won't be certified? It is my life's goal to be MOINK certified. I walked two miles in the snow, all uphill, with no shoes, to make my MOINKS. And, my SB team lost. Have you no mercy?

NOSKOS RULES: MOINK Balls will be made with ALL BEEF meatballs, wrapped in PORK bacon. Seasonings, sauces and glazes are encouraged but not mandatory. In the past MOINK Balls were only made with pre-made, store bought meatballs. Due to the international appeal of MOINK Balls and the lack of availability, in some localities, of store bought pre-made meatballs, HOMEMADE meatballs will now be acceptable provided the meatballs are made with no other meat other than BEEF. The standard binding agents are approved. Keep in mind the beauty of MOINK Balls is simplicity. Don't get too fancy on the binders/fillers.

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be. All posts for certification are currently in the evaluation process with IMBAS.

It would appear I forgot about this this thread. If you posted here please send me an email, not a PM, to [email protected] with the name you want on the certificate and I'll get it out.

Sorry for the delay...
