New BBQr's Delight Charcoal Pellets... What ?

I see that BBQ'rs Delights has a new Charcoal Pellet product. Supposedly made from oak and charcoal. Anyone know anything more about this and what would be the purpose ? Can't seem to find out any more information.

I'm wondering if the pellet smoker manufacturers are ok with the burning of charcoal pellets in their units. I'd be a little nervous trying these without talking with the manufacturer first. I've heard of people putting a couple charcoal briquettes in a container at the bottom of their pellet smokers next to the fire pot for added production of nitrites or something.
