Guru Pit Bull fan damper is a bit sticky, anyone else?

When I first got my Guru/Fan the damper seemed to operate very smoothly. After a few cooks it now is very "sticky" :rant:and difficult to slide. It appears to be clean, no grease or anything in there. I did hit it with a touch of silicon spray and that seemed to help but it's still not right.:violin: Any thoughts would be appreciated.
