1 hour in and the inside air temp is holding steady at 265-267. This is much easier than I expected.

If you have problems with the JB weld, then you will need to go get some of that furnace and fireplace adhesive. It really works super good. Here is my restore, it is a little outside the box for color, but it is what I like!!! I just ordered a official replacement cover for mine.
Do you cook with the top off?
