The Big Idea:
Brethren, the B Street Rib Off is gearing up for our 5th annual competition.
We began as a close knit group of guys who just wanted to pad our egos by beating each other's Que and have since grown that original idea into a modest competition that has around 20 teams participating each year. We are now a 501-3 (c) Non-Profit organization and are finally enjoying the work at putting this together. However, WE WANT TO GROW OUR NUMBERS! The last two years we've donated over $1000 to ACS (each year) and we are hoping to double that number this year. We need your participation in order to make that happen.

The Nitty-Gritty:
Our competition is non-sanctioned, but the rules we use should look familiar. We are a Rib and Chicken competition. Our basic entry fee is $75 for both meats and includes 2 free event T-Shirts. We have plenty of price packages in case you would like to include other things at a discount, such as additional T-Shirts, entries into the Side Dish competition, and judging in the side dish competition.

As stated above, in addition to ribs and chicken, we also have an optional Side Dish competition that participants and the public may enter for an additional fee. This is judged by members of the general public that sample and vote for their favorite HOT side & COLD side. Entries here are not limited per team/individual.

Judging:
We have strived the last few years to adhere to sanctioned bbq competition standards with regard to weighting, guidelines, and anonymity and we take pride in knowing that our judging practices are sound and have yielded great results that reflect the increasing level of competition we have seen every year.

Prizes:
While this may be unpopular with some of the teams that are on the circuit, we strive to maintain a zero-budget and give every dollar we earn back to the Little Rock Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

We provide trophies for the winners of the Rib, Chicken, and Sides competitions. In addition we also have some donated prizes that we will be awarding to the winning teams of ribs and chicken

Please "Like" and check out our competition page on Facebook (this is also a good place to check out pictures from past competitions to get a good feel for how we operate and what it looks like):
