Default Grilled Corn & Steak

Wanted some corn and steak last night. Been doing a little more grilling on the egg lately. Was a crazy nice day yesterday so sat outside for a while and then fired up the egg. Simple stuff but really good. I can never get enough grilled corn

Getting it started

Drinking awesome Costco light beer that for $.45/can is the best light beer out there!! (tossing that softball up there for the "beer aficionado's" out there )

Corn on

Getting the char

Cheap chuck steak

All purpose seasoning

On the fire

About 90 seconds then flipped

Shot through the top

Resting with butter

Plated with corn (I feel there is really good lighting in this pic )

Enjoy the weekend. About to make 30lbs of sausage today. Probably will post that up too.

Looking good! Do you soak the corn in water before putting it on the grill?

I don't soak before. Comes out great. I peel off all the husk layers except about 2, that way I can hit it with pretty direct heat and I get the right amount of cooking and char.

Now, about that beer....
Ha! I'm the kind of guy that appreciates good beer, but after a few good ones I feel like I'm wasting them and switch to the cheap stuff. I thought the 30packs you can get at most stores were a good deal, but this is about $1 more for 18 more beers (2 cases for $22 ).

I've made worse decisions in my life..........I think................

I believe the quote is, 'No, we send that piss to the US!'

I'll have to look for Kirkland beer.....I've certainly made worse decisions....

Nice cook!

It's worth it......I mean as far as light beer goes . For the price it can't be beat, mostly because trying to have a discussion about what light beer is the best is like discussing which season of "Full House" is better. At the end of the day all that matters is which is the cheapest to buy on Amazon right??...................... ...I don't think that analogy works, but you see where I'm going with it
