Calling all cars
Planning on doing a small scale hog roast.. Would like a smaller pig dressed out at about 100 pounds. Does anyone know where one might get one around the Des Moines, Iowa area..???

I would just call a local butcher shop and order one.

I've had the same problem finding a pig in the past. I used to be able to order them without problem from the Navy commissary or one of the local grocery stores, but they have stopped. The nearest butcher for us is about an hour drive.
I'd suggest calling around to your local grocery stores and butchers. |
