I just ordered one of these bad boys today. I'm pretty excited.

Went with the viper red and a Husker logo.

I wonder what wife will say when it shows up? Lol

No, the way I justified it in my head was "just do it and ask for forgiveness later"

Sounds horrible I know, but the fact is:

1. I don't hang in bars or chase women
2. Recklessly spend $ on corvettes
3. I don't gamble, etc. etc you get the point.
4. My addiction is bbq - used $$ that I saved.

I figure for all my sins buying a bad ass smoker without wife's permission isn't too evil. she will forgive me after the first cook out, if not, me and The Vault will be in a van down by the river.

Plus I kinda liked the feeling of sneaking off with that mason jar with my nuts in it!! Man Card! Did I mention I went Viper Red / Husker logo!!!!

That's fantastic. I just got my phone call yesterday from Pete. Mine was shipped out last night! Just over 2 weeks build time. Just so you know.

ROTF just showed this to my wife she thought it was hilarious, then told her I talked to my pit maker yesterday and ordered another pit! She said (yea right) hope she is still laughing in a few months.

You sound a lot like me. My wife wouldn't be that upset but her initial reaction would be interesting. We do have a Camaro.

Nice, I subscribe to the same buy first apologize later methods. Oddly enough, I seem to be in more trouble because of how big my new cooker is.
