This ol' lining
Can anyone identify this lining, and if it is gonna give me hell? I have an opportunity to purchase 5 of them for UDS builds.
It looks like the "tan" lining everyone refers to, but I am not 100% sure... http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/...hi/barrell.jpg |

Have a weed burner? A big burnout, followed by the weed burner, and finished with the grinding wheel will take care of it.
That was extremely easy to say. LOL

Yeah, that's the red one. The only drums I can get have it too. I just burn it out, then knuckle down and grind the rest of it out.

I just did my first one. like somebody up here said, it's a simple process, but it's far from easy. Sort of like golf. Easy concept, but hitting that darn little white ball straight and long is not an easy thing to do.
I used a grinding wheel after two burn out and it takes most of an afternoon. And I'd suggest a flap disc rather than the wire wheel. Just be careful you keep it moving so you don't burn it too deep.
