Is it possible to use a tank that stored diesel fuel to make a smoker out of it? I wasnt sure if after burning it out if it would affect the meat when smoking.:roll:

I wouldn't want to use any tank that held petroleum products or hazardous chemicals. Just not sure any amount of burning them out would get rid of all the residue.

It should be ok after a couple of burns, Over the years a lot of bbq have been made on converted disel tanks.

Alot of people in this part of the country build pig cookers out of Coal Oil tanks if you can still find one not in use.
