Breaking The Seal On The Smoker
It took longer than expected, but the smoker finally burned its first batch of charcoal today.
I did shed a tear as I fired it up for its virgin run. Now we are COOKIN'!!!!!! Of course, a fatty is the easiest thing to make for first runs. This one is home ground trimmings from pork spare ribs dusted with Jallelujah Jalapeno Bacon Rub from BPS. This shot doesn't do justice to this fatty. So here's the money shot. Boy, that Bacon Jalapeno rub ROCKS!
