ready for first cook
I finally got'em done. This is BUC (Butt Ugly Cooker). My firebox should be here this evening. Burning him out now. Everything done except for a thermometer. The only mishap I had was not aligning one intake pipe exactly straight (told my wife I should have been drinking). I am very pleased with the outcome. If my firebox shows up today, I intend to cook something tomorrow, with or without a thermometer (I can stick one down one of the exhaust holes). Thanks to all of you who gave me info (PM's at weird hours of the day and night). I'll get some pics when I do cook on him!

The gas was a last resort in case the UDS didn't work out.
Thankfully, everything went fine! |
