Default Replaced the Annoying Alligator Clip on Guru (pics)

I know a lot of BWS owners like to place the smoker temp probe on the Tel Tru stem using the Guru supplied alligator clip. But at least for me, it seems that if I just looked at the clip wrong, it would pop off the stem. So I decided to come up with an alternate mounting method.

I measured the stem and it is approx 1/4" in diameter. I bought a bag of 3/16" sprong clip tool holders from McMaster Carr (part #1722A41, 10 for $5.40). I then drilled a hole through the clip to accommodate the temp probes for both my Guru and ET732. I did have to squeeze the clip a little tighter with pliers to keep it firm on the Tel Tru stem. I think this will work pretty good.
