What kind of BBQ gloves do you use? I’m looking at buying a new pair and I had some really cheap ones. I want to upgrade to something a little better.

+1 for all purpose BBQ stuff (moving things around, pulling hot pulled pork etc), but you also want a pair of heavy duty gloves for hot cast iron etc. I got some "beast" gloves and have been impressed with them.

I picked up a pack of cotton gloves and disposable nitrile gloves from harbor freight. Does the job for me.

I did the same, and I have to say wow. Game changer. So dexterous. I had big bbq gloves but I would have to take them off to wrap or baste or whatever. Now I can pull the meat from the pit, apply moisture, open jars and other lids, wrap in butcher paper with out fiddling with gloves. And at service time I can hold hot meat down to slice or pull pork meticulously by hand. The cotton gloves are washable so you really only need a few pairs.

I use these GFS $5.99 these and a heavy duty pair of Grill Armour gloves.

I use the cotton & nitrile gloves setup for handling hot meat. For handling hot metals, charcoal etc I use the Hellfire gloves or a pair of nice leather welding gloves. I found Malcom Reed's store has good prices on the cotton and nitrile gloves.

Thanks for all the input! I bought some cotton gloves and some XL nitrile gloves. Can’t wait to try this out!

Cotton gloves with nitrile or vinyl over the top is the way to go if you need to actually work. The big heavy gloves are great for heat, but they are horrible when trying to actually use your hands.

Those BEAST gloves still need to be covered by vinyl or nitrile. Might as well buy cotton.

So I'm not supposed to just using my bare hands??

No wonder they hurt so bad when I cook.

Another user of cotton and nitrile gloves for hot food and quick things like adjusting probes. For handling hot ceramics and grates, I use Ove' Gloves.

Been using a pair that came with my setitandforgetit for 15 or more years and retired them a few weeks ago, they got hard and were cracking.Pu a pair at lowes but bought some throwaway gloves at a appliance parts place to use when dealing with condenser coil cleaner and nasty fridge parts, wow tough and with a pair of cotton gloves under would work very well.
