I'm pretty excited by the idea of this.

But I didn't want to hijack.

Has anyone used an old parlor stove as a firebox?
Non catalytics are illegal here and pretty easy to get. I don't think it matters outdoors (yet).
Here's what I'm looking at.
It even comes with the pipe and dampers.

I've thought about it a few times, but never have done it. Most of these stove are made out of cast iron which will make it difficult to weld unless you have the proper equipment.

I have had the same thought.I been looking for one on the cheap.I have a huge SS commercial freezer(non working) that I want to turn into a smoker and use one of those as the smoke generator.

A former Carribean/BBQ fusion joint here in town, now a Taco Joint uses this commercially. Looks like the exact same stove with the legs removed.

The horizontal off set needed more holes drilled for air for thin blue. The up right was good to go with a small fire at the front of the stove.
