Pizza on the egg
Well I'm seeing a lot of pizza threads lately so I may as well add mine. Did these 4 on the egg yesterday. Need to work on getting them round .
1st is just cheese. 2nd is pepperoni 3rd is diced tomato, diced fresh mozzarella, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, basil and olive oil. Next time I think I'll have to cook the crust a little first on this one. and the 4th is just frsh mozzarella and basil

I'll add my kudos to the list. Those look great. The best thing about making pizza from scratch is you get to make them the way you like. And I like those. Some of the best pizza I've ever had weren't close to round.
Now, if everyone keeps posting these pizza on an egg threads, I'm going to have to get one just for the pizza. |

Nice looking pies!! But:
To get them round you have to start out with a dough ball that has risen as a ball... (Don't punch it down, re-work the dough and try to make it round). Here is a video on forming a ball http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=he-V1J86REA Take the risen ball and start to degas it with your fingers or knuckles working outword into a basic round. Once you have that, then you start what is called "Pushing out a Pizza". Now watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjYqw1CLZsA With a little practice, you will start pushing out pies like a pro. I've seen a lot a mis-shapen pies around here. I hope this will start to remedy it. Good luck!
