UDS temps
How long does it usually take the UDS to get to temp (225-250) with a about 10-15lbs of charcoal? I don't have a good thermometer set up yet so hence the question. Any help would be good, and btw it's Kingsford charcoal if that makes any difference.

Getting up to temp is one thing, getting good smoke takes a bit longer for me. I usually allow an hour to get it all settled in before I put the meat on.

How are you lighting it up? Propane torch or ? When I light mine with torch I can get to 225 in 20-30 min. And when I have to use Kingsford I cook when that funky smell goes away.
