Thanks, I made the hinges on a milling machine and turned the pins on the lathe. They seem to be pretty functional and they're stainless so they should last forever even with the weight of that 5/16" door.
 
Would you be willing to make me up four my build. Happy to pay for the time and materials. Those are great looking. Need two sets for my doors on my tank.

Phrasty had a great build thread! This one looks to be a winner as well. Really like the hinges. But dang, a 5/16" door? You might need a sky hook to open it!
 
That's heavy duty! I hope you used the right wire to weld those stainless hinges to that lid.
 
I didn't know you could weld stainless to regular carbon steel. You da man. I'll be watching. Looks like a great pit.
