What's the situation on need for cookers? I plan to bring the 26" kettle for pork belly burnt ends. While those are cooking, I'll have space for other stuff on the grate. For some idea of what that's going to look like click here https://photos.app.goo.gl/XK2862QHjRyBtMBNA Some ideas would be brats tucked in around the pork or foil wrapped spuds over the coals. I wouldn't be too crazy about something like steaks over the coals 'cause they would require opening the smoker a lot and that's not good for the 'Q.

Once the burnt ends are done, the entire cooker is available for anything anyone wants to make.

Other equipment I could bring:
  • 2 burner propane stove
  • cast iron (Lodge) griddle
  • 18" Smoky Joe (Jumbo Joe)
  • Maybe 22" kettle, if someone really needs one
  • Coffee pot that doesn't need electric. (cowboy coffee... Mmmm )
  • Coffee pot that does use electric. (Mr. Coffee - not that big but use with a urn and first cup is ready a lot sooner than those 60 C percolaters.)

OK... I just decided that I'll bring coffee and pot and the propane stove to make it. Is there anything else that anyone needs that I might be able to bring?

I plan to arrive on the early side so I can get my 'Q started but probably not at 7:30.

Edit: Bain-marie to keep hot stuff hot for serving? Alternatively can be packed with ice to keep salads and similar cold. Would that be worth bringing (or is that already supplied?)

This is my first summer GTG so I'm not sure what needs to be brought and what the organizers will supply.

I am trying to bring my kettle like last year, but need to check with the little woman as she has the car that can transport.

If its a go, I'll have a few bags of MatchLight!

I would keep it simple and bring the least that you can Years ago we planned breakfast and I brought two airpots of coffee and most of it went down the drain

Most folks tend to get there around 10. We have the shelter booked from 7:30 - 7:30, so feel free to get there early to start cooking if you need to, but don't worry if no one else is there yet

I was planning on using a little space in Jon's big smoker, but I can bring a PK or PBC if needed.

I am g to save the permit as a PDF and will either post it in the thread or PM it to both of you. I recommend printing it and having it with you since you both will be there before me, just in case. We have only been asked for it once, as I recall, but it doesn't hurt to have it.

Oops... forgot to respond to these two

We keep these things pretty loose. when someone's food is ready they put it out and folks eat it. It is rare for stuff to sit for much time, but if therr something that needs to be kept hot, or, more likely, cold, like a mayo-based salad or similar, then an ice bath would be useful, but we can always use a foil pan with ice.

As far as the organizers (me ), I provide organization and will try to remember name tags since we will have a few new folks. I'll also too remember to toss in some paper towels, paper plates and plasticware, but we usually have enough of those, too.

One note: While we are allowed to have alcoholic beverages, there is a rule about glass bottles. No one has ever said anything, but if you are bringing bottles, please bring a koozie to make it less obvious
