BBQ Bacon
is One Chatty Farker
Was making potatoes the other day and it seemed like a waste pouring the potato water down the drain. So I looked and found a recipe for potato water bread. It was for a bread machine, but what the hell, why not try.
Took the yeast out the night before so I know it will be room temp then heated up the potato water to help activate the yeast, sugar and salt. Once foamy, I added the butter, Milk and flour to make the dough.
Into the oven to proof for a couple hours and boy did it puff up!
Knocked it down and formed into 6 buns and threw back into the oven to proof some more.
Baked at 350 for about 15 minutes and they were done.
Turned out fine and I can't say it tastes like potatoes, but was damned delicious.
