I'm trying to calculate how many lbs of dry beans Im going to need for 70-80 people. I picked up a 10lb bag of casserole pinto beans. Im serving brisket and chicken breasts as well. So it will be the main side item. This sound about right? Dont wanna run out.

I have found that using a volume measurement vs. a weight is better with dry beans. I usually figure 1/4 cup dry beans pp. After cooking they swell (duh) and provide about 1/3 cup serving, sometimes more depending upon other ingredients. You could play with these figures as a starting point.
