Mike (Woodhouse Grill) moved ahead of Kevin (HomeBBQ.com) this past weekend in FBA Team of the Year standings.

Kevin was at the NBBQ News Best of the Best Competition while Mike decided to to to the FBA event at Cove Springs, FL. Mike added another Grand Championship to his resume along with the Team of the Year points.

These two have dominated FBA events this year and swapped the lead a couple of times. Kevin had a one point lead prior to the Cove Springs event. Mike moved to a 152-146 lead with only one event left for points. Two events in November cancelled (St. Cloud and Wilton Manors).

It'll be a show down at Stark, FL, on December 10th!!

I may just have to go judge that one!!

I am not sure how much of a showdown it will be, 6 points in this new system is alot. I may regret going to Douglas, but thats the way it goes. Tim & Bridget (Cosmic Cookin) cooked for us in Cove Springs, and were able to keep it a little closer, which I appreciate. It looks like Jack's Old South will be there also, so the competition is stacking up.

Kevin,

I know Mike felt the same when he went to Mobile. Whatever happens in Stark it'll make for the finest TOTY run the FBA has seen...you and Mike dominated all year long. The FBA regulars and guys like Myron, Byron, etc. will really keep things boiling.

I'm glad Tim & Bridget were able to keep HomeBBQ in the running with participation points. I see they hit top 10 in every meat and 7th overall.

Heck, I'm happy I know all you folks.

You know, Kick the Tire, Light the Fire have been really coming on as of late, just like Woodhouse did last year. They also had a real good showing in Douglas, in the Invitational, and in the open (they cooked as Log Hogs in the Open). I am betting they make it real interesting next year.

I am just going to try to win a contest in Starke, and let the chips fall where they may. This is kind of like the scenario in 2003, Spice Boys BBQ had a 15 point lead going into the final contest of the year, and we ended up winning that contest, and winning the TOTY...

I've got my fingers crossed.

Kevin,

You know for the right price $$$ I could always slip over to Mikes house and pour some old used motor oil in the Yankee rotisserie. (you know lube it up a bit) It would make the smoke good and dark for Stark…..HAHA

Good luck to both of you guys… I have to pull for Mike cause he’s a Sebring Boy…but best of luck to my new friends Kevin and Claire.

Jimmy,

You know you don't have to root for Mike... ;)

How about some of that jet fuel? do you still have some of that? We can pour it into his firebox when he's asleep.. lol

We will do a trial run in Plant City.....I'm in for that one as of today....
Mike talked me into it.
The 18th is my B-day so I should win right!!!!

Stop it, Kevin already paid off the manager at my Subway to quit on me, now you guys want to mess with my grill, that hurts!! Hey Kevin I found out yesterday that Sebring will be a state championship.

Mike, you know that was a good plan... But she quit without my help.. I still like the jet fuel in the firebox idea...
