Default A bad ending to a good joint.

So sad when a landmark is seized and closed.

It's also a shame the don't properly secure the flag on the flagpole. Looks like the bottom clasp is disconnected or broken.

The flag does not look torn up- hopefully it can be secured ASAP.

Were they still doing a bang up business?

Six tax liens. Just bad business. Pay your taxes immediately, don't wait till the end of each quarter. If you aren't covering enough for costs AND taxes, your pricing is wrong.

Taxes is part of the food cost, not an after thought.

We have too much of that too. Popular places. Always packed. Doesn't matter whether its a Chicago Hot Dog institution or an empire builder bringing authentic Chinese cuisine (read, not Chop Suey) to Chicago and Vegas, a simple act of paying taxes seems to escape some people.

I don't get it.

Dang it, I was planning on going there in May when visiting my son there. He told me about it last fall. Should have went then.
