Default Chili Stew w/Cornbread Waffles

Sorry for the bad pic, but I'm forced to use my wife's crappy camera since I can't find my charger.

Slow cooked stew with chunks of beef chuck, potatoes, mushrooms, celery, onion, tomato and garlic in a chili gravy. Waffles made with Jiffy cornbread mix, shortening, and sour cream. Waffles topped with honey butter and then the stew.

This was SERIOUSLY good!

Box o' Jiffy
1 egg
1 1/4 milk
2 T melted shortening
3 T sour cream

You want it a little thin. They don't get crispy out the iron, but after they sit for a couple of minutes, they crisp up. For a really cripy waffle, I toss mine in the toaster.
