Hello from Colorado!

Hello friends! My name is Geoff and I live in Castle Rock, Colorado. I’ve been browsing this forum for years and finally am taking the plunge to join! I’m more of a reader and definitely no where close to expert status when it comes to BBQ.

I grew up outside of Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Colorado in 2000. The lack of good BBQ here made me learn how to cook BBQ out of necessity! I grew up eating at the Commissary and all the other great BBQ places in Memphis. I started with ribs in 2000 on a Weber kettle. I moved on the WSMs and have been cooking on them for a long time. I have an 18.5 and a 14.5 WSM. I’m looking to get or build a new smoker soon!!!

Thank you all! I appreciate it! This is the best BBQ forum in the world! We ended up getting maybe 24” in the recent snow but not too bad! I’m ready for a little warmer weather! And I’m ready to cook!!!!
