Relieved. It's about the same time of year, and we haven't heard much yet about the Manorville contest....so we were worried.

If you need help with the Battle when the time comes, let us know. I am trying to free up the weekend for the VA hospital.

I'd love to lend a hand. My grandpa has received care at the Northport VA Hospital numerous times and my cousin is a member of the Northport VA Fire Department.

This is something my wife and I might enjoy doing. Could anyone that has participated before give this noob an idea of what to expect. What should we bring other then our WSM, BBQ accessories and ourselves? And is there a local hotel that my wife could bed down for the night at?

Here is a response that I posted to someone else in another thread that asked a similar question.

I talked to the missus over lunch and she likes the idea "If we can be helpful". Her father served in Korea and she was a military wife for a number of years.

So....we are in!!
