Tonight was Crab cakes and Top Sirloin. Down and dirty. The vegetable in case Gore takes a gander was the Onion Ring and Crinkle Cut Fries.
Sheesh the meat was grass fed. Why add more green?

I spy a scrumptious looking heartwarming treat, Jed! I also see a certain sheen on your sirloin. Did you sauce that?
 
No sauce, straight salt and pepper, Seared at 350 and steak weighted with my little cast iron skillet.

Are the crab cab cakes and onion rings homemade ? If so , how about a recipe.
Crab cakes are right off the Old Bay Seasoning can. Onion rings were frozen Whole Foods Brand. I do my own onion rings in corn starch, salt and garlic powder dust them and fries at 375, till crisp. Bangin! add some cayenne for an extra kick!
 
Looks great! What is the sauce on top of the crap cake? I love crab cakes and it is hard to get good ones out here. Usually they are greasy piles.

Are you ready for this? Kraft Sandwich Shop Mayo, Hot and Spicy. Right out of the bottle! I usually make a garlic aioli, but my wife lives this stuff. Who am I to argue, less work for me!
The Crab cakes literally come from the recipe on the Old Bay can and are pan fried in EVOO. Easy peezy.
