Grills Gone Wild BBQ - Sept 15 A BBQ-Brethren Event
We were just contacted about a new contest in Lockport, NY. The organizers want this to be a credible event so Jerry and I are going to rep the event under BBQ-Brethren.
The contest is for the Variety Kids Telethon and will have both amature and professional teams competing. Visit the website http://www.grillsgonewildbbq.com for more information. |

I've been spreading the word. That's alot of cash! I know a bunch of people have plans to go to the Celtic Festival down the street that day but I'm telling them all to come by before or after.

Hey, Linda, you and Jerry did my CBJ class a few years ago, and repped a number of contests I competed in. I'm going to try my damndest to make this contest. It'll be good to see you again. For everyone else. Linda and Jerry are top-notch, and Rob and Honcho know how to host a contest. So, even though it's short notice, I say get thee to Lockport! --frank in Wilson, NY

Rule changes to BBQ Brethren rules. Some changes in judging and brisket, chopped, slices, pulled, and burnt end for turn-ins are ok. Ms Linda has more about rules. Jerry and Ms Linda are runnin the show |

Smokin' Ain't Easy decided to join in on this fun at the last minute. Doesn't sound like there are many "pro" teams signed up.
Hope to see some other Brethren there, and if you are, stop by and introduce yourself.

This ended up being a fun little event. It was put on pretty well considering how quickly they pulled it all together.
Thanks to everyone that was involved, would definitely do it again next year.
